Marc Marquez will be hoping to set a new record for the most victories in the history of the
German MotoGP.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider claimed a podium spot at the Dutch MotoGP on June 29, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Marquez started fourth on the grid and went on to win the race, while also winning the sprint race, which saw him collect 37 points from the event.
MotoGP title ambitions
The accomplished Grand Prix motorcycle road racer is still placed at the top of the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 307 points from 10 races.
Marc is 68 points ahead of second-placed Alex Marquez of Ducati and 126 points clear of third-placed Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati.
Why Marquez could win the 2025 German MotoGP
The 2014 Laureus Breakthrough of the Year is a joint most successful rider in the history of the German MotoGP with eight victories, along with Giacomo Agostini.
Marquez looks unstoppable at the moment, having won each of the last three races in the current season, and he is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“I was expecting the win, even though – like yesterday – I wasn’t the fastest rider on track," Marquez said after winning the 2025 Dutch MotoGP.
"I managed the gap in the early stages, then controlled the race, and I’m very happy because we scored another 37 points. Obviously, I’m not fully satisfied, as my main rival – my brother (Alex) – crashed and got injured.
"But that’s racing. I want to thank Ducati and the team, who worked until late on Friday after I destroyed the bike twice.”
